January 13, 2012 - Hey All - I don't blog, let's face it, I'd need to have something to say and frankly my wife assures me I'm one of the most boring people you will ever meet.  Having said all that I do want to post today about Piracy - not the kind on the high seas, but of books. E-books specifically.  Books by lesbians, who work damn hard to create stories their fans will enjoy, oddly myself included.

On this subject a number of Ladies have already done and said more than I could begin to fathom, and what they had to say on their own BLOGS is much too important to miss, so I'm sharing them with their permission.

See what Layce Gardner - Author of TATS - had to say here -   http://laycegardner.wordpress.com/2012/01/13/conversation-with-a-pirate/   Layce is my new S-hero and she should be yours as well. We need to stand up to these thief s and deal with them.

Another storm-trooper is Saxon Bennett - Author of many books - this is her take on it -  http://saxonbennett.wordpress.com/2012/01/11/stop-stealing-our-stuff/  as you can read for yourself, in the end we're all victims of this bull shit.

Lastly, at least today - is R.E. Bradshaw - Author of various books - as she so succinctly note, "Don't piss off a group of Lesbians" , here's her take on the subject of piracy - http://rebradshawbooks.blogspot.com/?zx=e51684dcba232dd1

Even if you don't explore my website any further than these links, please be sure to read them. Piracy is a real problem and one that we need help fighting.

September 15, 2011

Well it's here. <smile>  Redemption is officially out in hard copy form . Woot!  Just to repeat - Redemption is now available through Bella Books.

Blurb: Architect, Mackenzie Taylor will tell you she’s married, that love transcends eternity, and vows are meant to be honored. She builds homes through her business, helps to rebuild lives through her volunteer work at a women’s crisis center and strives to build self-esteem in children with special needs as sponsor and coach of Team Bella.  What she can’t rebuild is her family. The deaths of her wife, Isabella and their daughter, Bella, haunt her every breath. While she attended a business meeting they were kidnapped and senselessly murdered. The guilt is all encompassing.

Emily O’Brien, a widow, and straight, arrives in town to open KK’s Book Emporium. She lives in the apartment above the store where she struggles to make a new life for herself and her orphaned grandchildren.

Renee McVee’s partner, Emily’s daughter, was killed by a drunk driver, on the way to pick up her children from school. Renee’s response to her grief is to drown her sorrows.

Redemption takes a gritty look at domestic violence and how it influences the lives of these three women and how they learn  to deal with the devastating fallout. It’s also a story of love, old and new. It answers the questions, is it possible to love again? Is it possible to forgive yourself? Is it possible to find redemption?

As the blurb says this novel tells the story of domestic violence, something that is near and dear to my heart. In honor of the release of Redemption, I have donated $500.00 to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, and a portion of Redemption's future earnings will also be donated.  Regal Crest has graciously allowed me to add a page within the book announcing this and listing the website and phone numbers for anyone who is a victim or knows someone who is, that might need help. Domestic Violence is wide spread and it's victims need to know there is help if they just seek it out.
